Course Objective:
This course provides students with a foundational understanding of air conditioning and refrigeration systems as they pertain to residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
Students will be prepared to obtain the EPA certification for the transition and recovery of refrigerants, with the certification exam administered in-house as part of the course.
The program can be completed in 17 weeks.
Course Outline:
- 100 clock hours of refrigeration theory, meeting the requirements set by the Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure for technician and contractor licensing
- EPA Certification for transition recovery of refrigerants
- Training in air distribution and duct sizing
- Principles of air quality and control
- OSHA 10-hour Card certification
Schedule: Two days or nights per week.
Classes are offered at our Oxford, MA location.
